Stone's Green Ginger Wine

Appearance: Amber. Aroma and Flavour: Ginger, sugar, a hint of raisin. Stone’s is a very well-known old-school product in the U.K., Australia and other Commonwealth nations. It is produced under license in each region but the recipe is standard and the abv is always 13-14%. It is an aromatised wine product like Lillet but the aroma and flavour is more similar to ginger liqueurs such as Canton. Ginger is very prominent and it tastes exactly as you would expect. If you dilute it with soda water, add a slice of lemon and a few ice cubes it makes a very pleasant low-alcohol ginger ale, and it is famously paired with scotch whisky in a mixed drink called a Whisky Mac. Stone's green ginger wine is a great drink! It can be savoured as neat, on the rocks or you can actually team it up with gin or vodka. It has a good gingerish taste, which leaves your throat warm and leaves a subtle sweet taste on your tongue. There are two other varieties with this brand but the original tastes the best of all. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who's into wine and usually prefers a strong flavour.
