About this bottle

This is the 23rd batch of Stranahan's annual Snowflake single malt series featuring liquid that is initially matured in traditional #3 char bourbon casks then matured in a variety of ex-spirit and wine casks. It was originally intended as a 2020 release and delayed because of the pandemic. Sunshine Peak is named for a Colorado mountain peak that’s over 14,000 feet high. The finishing casks include a variety of used apple brandy barrels (Calvados and applejack) as well as Moscatel and Cabernet wine casks. It is bottled at 47% ABV and available exclusively on a first come first served basis on December 4, 2021 at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Definitely a single malt flavor profile, strong brandy, not much of a profile, but sweet, slight caramel, dry finish
