About this bottle

Suerte Tequila is produced by Master Distiller Pedro Hernandez Barba using traditional methods, such as slow-cooking the piñas for 56 hours in a horno (brick oven) and crushing the baked agave with a tahona (stone wheel). The Suerte Blanco is rested in stainless steel tanks for two months before bottling.

I had to search for this in my area and finally was "lucky" enough to find a bottle. I'm glad I was able! The nose opens up with a very aggressive agave forward presence, along with with citrus and a bit of herbals. I do note a whiff of alcohol aroma, but you must breath very deep and it dissipates after a moment. On the palate you get more of the herbal, citrus and cooked agave favors and a bit of cinnamon. The finish has more of the herbal, grassy almost after taste. The burn is short to non existent and is a pleasure to sip. That's not something I say about many tequilas. My wife, a diehard Patron drinker, really enjoyed this tequila tonight. Whether as a sipper or in a margarita. Fairly complex as a blanco goes, smooth, tahona processed and for around $35/ bottle; what's not to like?!?

Tasting neat. The nose has a little heat and is clean with agave, grass, herbs (cilantro?) citrus(lime) with some earthy mineral undertones. Taste is moderate body, mildly sweet, cooked agave, fruity, very herbal(anise, cilantro, mint). A little black pepper and a bit of alcohol heat for a nice bite. Finish is medium long and starts sweet and gets tart Overall a nice drink. I appreciate the traditional methods and the uncommon flavor profile. It's like an richer, agave forward gin..minus the juniper. Nicely priced, and will keep a bottle around when I finish this one

This is another low-to-mid priced teauila that might appeal to folks that like Clase Azul or Casamigos repos like me. Ill buy it again. Smooth and some sweet, especially for a blanco.

1.5 My review is based on my palette. I could totally seeing people like this tequila. It’s just not for me. Too vegetal and earthy. Missing the sweet agave I love.

shadyeglenn 3.5

Earthy smell and start with a gentle middle and a hot and bitter finish, makes me think of mushrooms.

IcePicker 3.5

Vegetal flavor, quite nice
