Visual: Beautiful copper; spaced, thin legs; slow. Nosing: absolute Sherry; homemade marsala, cherry, and dried dark fruits, namely raisins. Toffee, caramel and dark honey. Warm baking spices. Tasting: super smooth; absolute Sherry bomb. A bit earthy with a tad bid of roasted chestnut on the back palate. Lots of body, oily dense finish; deep oak on the back end as well. Finishes dry. Reduced Nosing: medicinal cola syrup. There's also Herby notes that come through. Still lots of dark, red fruit coming through too. Reduced Tasting: sweetness is distributed with water; flattened a bit. More oaky earthiness is present. I think this dram is best undiluted, so that you can enjoy this cask strength whisky to it's fullest! This is a damn good dra and I'm looking to savour it as long as I can.
