Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila

Aromas of jalapeño rose up from the glass as I poured. But a more focused whiff detects sweet agave and white pepper overlayed with jalapeños. The flavor is multi layered for sure. Sweet agave nectar is the first flavor. Quickly giving way to double heat. Alcohol heat and burning jalapeño heat. The start of the finish brings on some candied vanilla. Then jalapeño hits hard and lingers well into the aftertaste. Minutes and minutes afterward. A delightful mouth burn along with it.

This stuff was great. I’m a big fan of pepper stuff if it is done well. First sip you get a good flavor of the jalapeño. Every sip after that just the faint taste of the pepper with a mild tingle in the throat and the sweet agave tequila. Great on the rocks.

Good in a watermelon marg, could use tajin
