This has an odd cloudiness that I guess comes from the “accelerated” aging process. Sweet nose of corn, charred oak, plum, toffee, rye and rubber. On the palate strong untreated lumber, with rye, toast and a touch of caramel sweetness. Overall I’m not impressed with the result; it doesn’t seem aged, but rather a mixed bag of immature flavors with wood chips thrown in. The silver lining here is that it’s a great illustration of the fact that, as far as I can tell, you can’t fake a barrel.

This taste like vis-a-vis marker, takes me back to elementary school when the teacher was writing lessons on the overhead projector. The taste is Smokey, oak-like, and Spicy. On the nares I get a sharpie like scent. I guess it does the job after a few good pours of good stuff.
