NOSE Malt, golden raisins, honey, toasted bread, graham, apricot, fruit juice, oak and a bit of leather. SUPER juicy, complex, fruit (lighter golden and orchard fruits) mixed fruit juice cocktail. PALATE Malt, biscuity, golden raisins, caramel frosting, toasted bread, graham, complex orchard fruit (pears, apples, peaches), fruit juice, oak and a bit of spice. More complex than aroma, this Teeling Revival Volume IV Muscat Cask 15 Years is juicy juicy juicy. Wow. FINISH Med-long -> White grape juice, honey graham, orchard fruit and lightly spiced oak fade.
Teeling The Revival 15 Year Single Malt (Volume IV)
About this bottle
Released in November 2017, this 15 year-old single malt ages initially in ex-bourbon barrels. The whiskey then finishes its maturation for over 12 months in former muscat port barrels. It is bottled at 46% ABV with no chill-filtration. 10,000 bottles were produced for this release. The Revival Series from Teeling was initially launched to celebrate the opening of their distillery in Newmarket in 2015. This bottling is the penultimate release in the series with the Volume V expected sometime in 2018.

Drammers Club online pour. Very enjoyable. The Muscat casks added a floral element to the Teeling tropical fruit character. Nose: Flowers, Citrus, Peach, White Chocolate, Honey, Figs, Sultanas, Vanilla, Caramel, Marzipan, Guava, Passion Fruit, Bananas Palate: Honey, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Pineapple, Mango, Citrus, Apricot, Caramel, Finish: Pineapple, Vanilla, Flowers, Citrus, Guava, Peach, Honey, Caramel, Passion Fruit, Papaya
Another Irish another success. Teeling maybe pretty average to poor distillers but they definitely knew how to pick good casks from others. This one has apparently spent the whole time in rum. Honeyed grapefruit is the main flavor combo. I like it but I think the JJ Corry 16 year Flintlock beats it out.
My recent Teeling tasting jumped from the first Revival release to this fourth edition, which likewise leads with stone fruits on the nose. Each sip delivers tinned peaches in cream with a sprinkling of white pepper. The finish is likewise long on cream and fruit with more pepper. Delightful.
meh, was tasty and good complexity but nothing great especially for the cost
Rigtig sød, dejlig næse
