The mash bill is mostly corn (92% corn, 8% malted barley) and is brought down to proof with water from the Bull Run Watershed, the inspiration behind the brand’s name. The whiskey is aged in used bourbon barrels for at least 6 years before bottling.

Very aromatic. Butterscotch, vanilla, and lite oak are present on the nose. It does have a good bit of spice on the finish. Add a splash of cold water and it really mellows out the bite. Good whiskey. Very pleasant.
More interesting than enjoyable. Wood and leather from nose to palate. Nice finish.
