Tequila Lobos 1707 is an independent spirits brand which is backed by basketball legend LeBron James. The tequila is distilled in Los Altos, Jalisco from 100% blue weber agave. For the Extra Añejo tequila, it is aged in American white oak for three years followed by a finishing in Pedro Ximénez barrels. It is available as of November 2020 in New York City, California and Florida with an expected nationwide launch in early 2021.

Lobos 1707 extra anejo delivered quality aromas and a solid flavor profile. The American oak shined a little too much for my liking. It lacked complexity and mouthfeel. Aromas of honey, oak and golden ripe apples were showcased followed by a completely different flavor profile predominated by oak and spices with hints of honey. The PX sherry did not come through as much as I expected it to do so.
Sweet, smooth, need more oak but very good. Worth the money.
