An intense, second batch of Secret Distillery #1. very well-Sherried 9-year-old single malt from a popular Speyside-based distillery. Batch 2 is a release of 1,220 bottles. It has an aromatic birth with notes of Oloroso & barley; while a rich life adds notes of raisins soaked in spiced rum & a hint of black licorice; that led to a long & warm death with notes of Jammy Dodgers, buttered malt loaf & a spicy hint of cardamom. Tried this at a friend’s house. Great stuff. Nose: Toffee, Apricot, Raisins, Chocolate, Gingerbread, Prunes, Dates, Cherries, Christmas Cakes, Vanilla Palate: Oak, Chocolate, Raisins, Plums, Vanilla, Toffee Finish: Chocolate, Christmas Cake, Oak, Stewed Fruits, Creamy, Flowers I wish Glenfarclas Family Casks were priced more in line with Glendronach single casks.
