Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year (25th Anniversary Edition)

Daily drinker. Not a complex dram but there is an art to such a mellow and refined dram. It smells sweet like honey and vanilla and it is sweet and lovely on the palate. Fresh and malty with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla from the casks. Balvenie in general does not overwhelm or blow you away, they kind of sneak up on you like a cat, stealthy and silent. I am really enjoying many of their expressions and this is a great, affordable whisky. Absolutely a classic and must try for any whisky lover.

Nose of grapes and vanilla, very pleasant and light, with strong fruit smell. Fruit on the taste, with raisins dominating the finish. Delicious and fruity, but not super light with a finish that doesn't leave immediately

Sweet on the nose and insanely comfortable finish. Sort of evaporates in your mouth at the end. Highly drinkable and a great dram

One of the fruitiest whiskies I've ever indulged in. Absolutely spectacular. Drank room temperature neat in a Glencairn.

Lovely smooth sweet scotch. No smokiness, but still some complex bitter notes with a nice sweet finish

Smells good. Taste sweet on palate first and get strong at the end. I like with out ice or soda
