An elegant, Japanese Whisky by the Fukano family Distillery in Hitoyoshi, Japan made with malted rice, distilled in stainless steel stills, aged for a full decade in Brandy puncheons. It has an aromatic birth with notes of florals, mixed citrus & sandalwood; while a complex & silky life adds notes of warm sake, exotic spices, mint, white plum & marmalade; that leads to a rich death of medium length with notes of marzipan, raisins, orange & oak. Nose - fruity caramel Palate - definitely getting the plum and some fuller caramel type flavors, a lot of flavor overall Finish - very long, dry, and full bodied, a little harsher than expected Overall - more of an intense tasting experience - I like it though and might pair it with some sweet food
Interesting whiskey... Citrusy nose with lots of floral notes... reminds me of orange blossom honey but not as sweet. Tastes of spices with the orange marmalade backbone. Not as sweet as I expected from the nose. Medium to long finish... more orange, and lingering sweetness.
Super interesting and super tasty! Getting green grape, plum, maybe pear, maybe a touch of coconut, marzipan and even a creme brulee flavor going on. Beautiful and super fruity
My palate is somewhat wrecked so I need another taste. But I like what I'm tasting! Mild and smooth. There's a subtle buttery candy/carmel taste to it that's quite nice.
Nose: Floral, Oak, Butterscotch Palate: Candied Apple, vanilla Finish: Dark Sweets Immediate kick of Candied apple, some spice, medium smooth.
