About this bottle

Released for the travel retail market, the Manse Reserve is named for a house atop the hill on Manse Brae that overlooks the town of Rothes and its eponymous distillery. It is home to the eighth generation of the family that founded the distillery, who has become a pillar of the social community around Rothes. Bottled at 43% ABV, this Speyside single malt has mostly matured in American oak with some sherry oak influence.

Nose: Creamy, vanilla, floral Palate: Sherry, vanilla, orchard fruit, currants/raisins, cream, baking spices (nutmeg & cinnamon) Finish: Medium long finish. More orchard fruit, vanilla and a little salt/saline. Creamy and floral, with some woody notes on the aftertaste This is a great creamy, mouth-coating and sherried dram. So many layers of flavours which change throughout. One to ponder over, but not for too long - it'll never last in the bottle! I had a couple of samples of this, but I've just ordered myself a full bottle!

Fruits on the nose, predominantly plum and citrus. Grains flow across the tongue, with a hint fruit and spice. Finish is hot, and lingering
