A whisky with an attractive aroma of dark brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, and citrus. I consider it one of the best entry-level sherry whiskies available. Personally, I found the nose more appealing than both GlenDronach and Macallan. The aroma volume is absolutely overwhelming. On the palate, the flavors largely follow the nose and are very enjoyable, though there is a slight sense of hollowness at the mid-palate (a minor issue). The finish isn’t particularly long, but it leaves a pleasant lingering impression. A bottle I would definitely consider repurchasing. (4.25점)
