This is why I love stuff like this. It’s such a simple label, it’s such a low age, and it’s such an obvious story…. It’s 4 year MGP high rye mashbill bottled at cask strength and single barrel selected for a specific store/club…. But the juice is phenomenal. It’s rich, it’s spicy, it’s hot, it’s got caramel and butterscotch and insert generic bourbon flavor here. It’s got everything you want and more. And yet it doesn’t have some stupid fancy bottle or long winded story about a distilled who saved his last barrels from an old burning down church. Just classic well made bourbon for under $50… this is ALWAYS a buy.

Bought up in New England, drank less than a quarter of it then left it at the Air BnB because I didn’t want it to spill in the checked luggage but also it’s probably my least favorite barrel proof bourbon I’ve had
Up front on first taste I got almost a bike warmth flavor. The middle and finish was smooth and caramel. Let it breath and the front flavor dissipated a bit. May just be my pallet isn’t made for this.
brown sugar, caramel, sweet black plums and dark chocolate These are the notes I didn’t get the plum at first but it did development mid pallet. I get more spice then the review said
Much better than I expected given the age, but it’s a sweet, rich, classic bourbon with very little heat given the abv. Excellent presentation as well and worth a buy at the price
A nice caramel note on the finish.
