The Senator Single Barrel - Barrel Proof (Brown Water Social Club/Cloud 9 Liquor Barrel Pick)

This is incredibly approachable and smooth for the proof. I am tasting the neck pour on a large rock. On the nose I am picking up caramel, vanilla, cloves and unripe banana. The palate offers a smooth spice with the light vanilla and caramel and unripe banana, but adds light oak and leather. This bottle is a smooth operator that offers several layers of spice and has a touch of a macadamia nut finish for me. Definitely going back for a backup bottle of this barrel pick! Has been opened for over two months and is even better than the first couple pours. This has softened the ethanol on the nose and palate and brought out some warm bread and additional slightly more ripened banana than in the first third of the bottle. This is a great rye!
