The nose is a great mixture of charred oak, ripe fruit and floral rye spice. There are subtle notes of vanilla, brown sugar and molasses in the background, wrapping up everything nice and tight. In total, it is very fresh and crisp, and very inviting. The palate is oily, somewhat rich and gives a full burst of spice. It is mostly rye dominant which also offers up floral and fruity notes, becoming quite and enjoyable sipper. But it is a little too oily to be trusted to sip too much of. The finish is medium long with plenty of spice with every chew. There is a lingering fruity floral note that hangs in the background and really makes this rather solid.
