Nose of fig and plum, sweet cinnamon Coats the tongue nicely, heavy Sherry presence with more sweet fig and raisin. Subtle baking spices and rye spice in the finish. Finish is medium and dry. Oak makes its presence. The finish is different from others I have had. Interesting
About this bottle
Released in March 2022, this is one of four extended cask finished bourbons in the second batch of Barton 1792 Distillery's Thomas S. Moore line-up. Each of the four releases are made with the distillery's high-rye bourbon recipes which is aged 5-6 years. For this Sherry cask finish, the brand used only oloroso sherry casks. The finishing period was 1-4 years and the batch was bottled at 98.7 proof.

We tried 4 different cask finished offerings from Thomas S Moore tonight. This was hands down the best. They were all excellent.
Best of the moore series imo, wait actually cognac is. Tasting 4 bottles from the series. This is good. Dark. Rich.
The sherry finish makes this one enjoyable
