At the price point, I can’t recommend it. It doesn’t taste at all like a 14 YO bourbon. Not much point in chewing Tincup 14 YO, there is no linger to speak of. I tasted it along side Eagle Rare 10 and Elijah Craig Small Batch. Both have a more complex taste profile and linger longer. I might give it more stars if the price was in $30 to $40 dollar range. If the price point of Tincup 14 was in the $30 to $40 price range, it would be more comparable to Eagle Rare 10 and Elijah Craig Small Batch. Even then Eagle River 10 and Elijah Craig Small Batch are better sips. Too bad, I really wanted to like Tincup 14 YO.

Nose: sweet oak and caramel, very soft but bright, like orange peel Taste: starts off very light, almost like lemon peel, then oak slowly builds in a medium wave, then settles into bit of spicy black pepper or anise, then fades back into a smoldering oak. Relatively light and simple overall, but a pleasant ride Finish: a delicate finish that lingers for a while, mostly bitter oak and a bit of cinnamon spice
Nose: Incredible amount of banana and caramel Palate: More of that banana note with caramel sweetness Finish: Baking spices and a blackberry fruity finish
