Tipperary 8-Year-Old 2008 (cask RC00117) - Red Wine Cask Finish An intense single cask bottling of 8-year-old Irish single malt whiskey, released by the Tipperary Boutique Distillery Company Ltd finished in red wine casks. It has a soft buttery birth with notes of jammy raspberries & blackberries; while a fruity life adds hints of strawberry, red grape, vanilla & floral barley; that led to a long & warm death with notes of chocolate-chip cookie & juicy kumquat. Their standard range appears to be poorly reviewed but they've done a good job with this one. Lovely sweet red berry notes - strawberry primarily - comes to the fore.
