Nose is the strength of this dram, chocolate hazelnut with earthy undertones and brown sugar. Palette is is very thin stewed fruit, junipers finishing softly spicy and lots of oak, like licking a stick. Some will like this for its soft texture. I think this punches below its price and 8 year age statement—too watered down.

This is a good bourbon for the money if you like smooth oak and vanilla highlights. Not as rich as the woodford double oak. But certainly a solid bourbon.
Just too Oakey. Overpowering vanilla notes with a hint of caramel. Mixes well with Coke, but not right for sipping.
Very Oakey with a slight smoky taste. Not very pleasant straight, but a great pair with cola
