This is Binny's #2122 @ 120 proof Nose- Popcorn ball, maple syrup, apricot, dusty corn. Palate- Maple sugar, brown sugar, stone fruit, and some heat. The sweeter notes are pitted fruit vibes like peach and ripe nectarine. Mouthfeel is average to a bit thinner than what I had hoped. Finish- medium to long. Warming and oaky. The heat dissapates and is nicely well rounded. Overall- enjoyable bottle here. Easy drinker at 120 proof. Sneaks up on you a bitπ. I may be a bit biased comparing this to recent JD barrel proof picks, which I find much better, BUTa worthwhile bottle! I think where it fell short for me is the ethanol on the palate. This bottle I assume is Likely 5-7 year Tennessee whiskey with some rough edges. There is some new woodshoppy notes that tell me that an 8-10 yr would be much better. I don't hate it, and is a great entry bottle into a brand I will now take notice of. Finish- ,

A wonderful dram that i had on my visit to Uncle Nearest distillery, was this amazing single barrel expression. Nose: grain whiskey, vanilla, honeycomb, milka chocolate. Palate: milka chocolate; salty, grainy. Aftertaste: tobacco, dry, sugar, vanilla smores, sulphur. Overall, this magnificent Tennessee whiskey is one of the finest drams i had on my whiskey trip to Kentucky and Tennesse. Solid, enjoyable, sweet, salty and bitter. My score for it is 92 over 100.
On the nose there is a spice that jumps out and burns my nose instantly. Once allowed to sit for a few minutes there is a strong note of vanilla. First sip burns a bit but opens up to a great offering. Ice offers up some subtlety but not much changed.
Sweet and approachable. Not overly hot finish. But not overly complex. Nice, but not great.
Not very pleasant.
