The Cabernet Cask Select is matured for several years in bourbon barrels, and is then finished in a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from both France and California. The whisky is bottled at 93 proof.

The wine barrels had a real effect - a lot of berry flavors, cherry, blackberry. There's a strong wood flavor as well, toward the back end, but more fruity and floral.
