Heavy brine and citrus on the nose. The first pour is salty with notes of lemon or lime custard. As the whiskey is oxygenated the malty notes start to become more pronounced. Very different offering in Irish whiskey!

About this bottle
Waterford Bannow Island Edition 1.2 is made from 100% Overture barley grown by Ed Harpur on the extreme southern coast of Co. Wexford. Distilled in 2016, the Irish single malt matured in a combination of first-use French and American oak for three months longer than Edition 1.1. It is bottled without chill-filtration at 50% ABV with no color or additives.
