Waterford Lakefield Edition 1.1

Drank neat, last pour of the bottle, no ice. Thick legs to this dram. Nose: floral like a garden. Buttery smooth. No hint it is 50% alcohol, crisp, green apples with notes of tobacco. Palette: heather and honey, soft and not distinct like toddler fists on a submarine, there is a lot happening but nothing stands out or drives the taste, yet there is a lot to pick up. Like an Arrowroot biscuit, soft yet smooth. Finish: buttery smooth, soft yet it lingered. Clean like a crisp apple, dry but it stays. Like a cucumber from the garden, not powerful but it wont be washed away.

Au nez c'est très sucré genre cannelle et caramel. En bouche on est ailleurs. C'est plutôt céréalier genre orge avec ****** fruits sèches ainsi que des pointes de miel et de poivre même. C'est très chalereux et équilibré. C'est bien plaisant à boire et c'est un whiskey qui reste simple mais qui devient de plus en plus complexe en le buvant.

Ce n'est pas à la hauteur d'un irlandais. Il lui manque le fruité que l'on attend et à ce prix ce n'est pas dans la moyenne.

Onaangename geur. Vijgachtig, kruidig in nasmaak. Smaak blijft hangen.
