May have gotten unlucky with a bad batch, but got a bottle and tasted with friends. The unanimous consensus was that this is truly astringent. We poured it down the drain. Tastes like what I imagine paint thinner or nail polish remover would be. Tried adding some drops of water to it, and it did not open up any bourbon flavours. Instead, it tasted like cough syrup. I truly hope that I've just gotten unlucky with bad batches because I have sincerely tried to root for this smaller distillery. Extremely disappointed.
