Western Son Texas Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel

I’m not good at writing flavor profiles, but this is definitely corn, which I like. 68% Texas and Midwest corn, 22% Canadian rye, and 10% of a two row malted barley. Milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, aged, blended, and bottled by Western Son in pilot point Texas. Reminds me of another north Texas-based brand, Ironroot Hubris, which is also corn-based, but this has less heat/proof.

Charred malts and caramel taste finished in white oak American barrels. Good sipper next to any campsite.

Sweet and smooth finish. Lots of caramel. Easy easy drinker but almost too sweet

Super under-rated. Drink this all day. Would be daily pour if available.

If I am being honest, too young. It has potential, but I’d pass for now
