The wine notes on the nose a buried deep, pleasant but blended well, which I think bodes well. Flavor is huge, the main notes are an oak and spice perfectly balanced, and the deep wine notes on top. The wine tannins and the wood complement each other well. Body is medium rich, and the tail lingers for me mostly in the back of the throat as burn and tannin bitters. I would guess maybe Cabernet for the wine barrel. This is perfect.

I was excited abiut this one. Wanted to try it for a ling time and it didnt disappoint. As they mature it in local wine casks, the notes of red wine are there. At first in the nose I got cocoa powder, chocolate and vanilla. On the palate it went to a chocolate with raisins and toasted cereal. It was one of the favorites of the night. Great dram!
