Wheyward Spirit is a distilled spirit made from whey, a by product of the cheesemaking process among other products. They whey is sourced from domestic dairies and the spirit is distilled in California. This is therefore not dairy-free or vegan, but it is lactose free, grain free and gluten free. It is classified as a specialty distilled spirit and not a vodka as it isn't meant to be flavor free.
