Illinois-based Whiskey Acres is a farm-to-glass distillery which grows all its grains for its spirits. Here, the brand uses a mash bill recipe of 75% blue popcorn, 15% soft red winter wheat, and 10% malted barley. It's aged at least four years and is bottled at 48.5% ABV.

Nose: vanilla, maple, hint of caramel Taste: rich, sweet, toasted, oak, spice finish This finish radiates heat from the center of your core and slowly moves out. Very impressive batch from Whiskey Acres!
Very bold on the nose with tannic, oaky notes. Flavor opens up quite different. Extremely sweet with a candied fruit, maple chew to it. Very pleasant and easy sipper neat.
Easily one of the best bourbons I have had. Sweet, warm, rich with flavor. Hits all my boxes for a phenomenal bourbon. Great to see what’s coming out of Illinois.
