WhistlePig Bespoke Blend 12 Year Old World Cask Finish Rye Whiskey Single Barrel Select 2018 Release is a rich Rye Whiskey by Master Distiller Dave Pickerell for Raj Bhakta in Vermont. It is aged for 12 years in new American oak casks, it is then finished in three European wine casks: Madeira, Port & French Sauternes. with only 132 bottles produced. It has a rich birth with notes of vanilla & English toffee; while a rich & complex life adds notes of Rye spice, herbs, stone fruits, orange-blossom honey, port & rancio; that led to a long & rich death with notes of dark chocolate, caramel & a hint of smoke. Great tasting whiskey, just not sure it is worth the price tag. Most likely not buying this again.

Smooth, almost oily finish. Very good for a rye
