The nose is a blend of sherry, smoke, brine, cotton candy, along with creamy notes of vanilla and oak. The sherry isn't too dominant, serving to nice compliment the malt. The palate is somewhat rich, with a burst smoke, oak, barely sugar and a touch of sherry. It is a wonderful mix of flavors, giving you a unique take on using sherry casks in the aging process. The color of the whiskey even has a rose tint to it. The finish is long and slightly peppery with lingering oak and sharp wine sweetness.
