Nose: Vanilla, caramel Palate: Cereal forward, malt, vanilla, sweet pear Finish: spicy, cinnamon, oats Overall solid whiskey, this batch was from sourced base and finished in Pittsburgh. Good for mixing, or drinking with a little soda or ice to bring out some of the more subtle notes.
About this bottle
This wheat whiskey is made with local, organic wheat milled on site and distilled in a copper pot still. It ages for about a year in charred oak casks. The distillery is named in honor of Philip Wigle, a German farmer and key player of the Whiskey Rebellion of 1791. Although he would have pronounced his name as "Vigol" the distillery pronounces it as "Wiggle" Distillery.

Christmas gift from my son. Nice local Pittsburgh distillery with an assortment of whiskeys. Had a very fresh taste to it, I enjoyed it but, I don't think I will go out of my way to purchase it 6.7 - 10.
Nose is extremely sweet, complex, and pleasant. Way better than the taste for me Palate is bitter with a bite Not my thing.
A little hot on the nose, vanilla after notes. Probably would not buy again except I do like the idea of a local spirit.
Nose: Mildew, wet grass, hay Palate: clove, wet socks, malt Finish: long, decently smooth
I find that I do not like wheat bourbons—this one especially. Too bittersweet.
