Nose: starts off with vanilla and caramel, some dark fruits in there, hint of strawberry? Oaky notes, a very nice sweetness like marshmallow Palatte: sweet pecan and chicory up front with a slight bite. There is a grainy spearmint note up front as well. Raisin and fig, usual for a wheated, more of that marshmallow on the back end that is layered with tannins. Slight cherry and apricot is starting to come through. I bet in a few months of being open, this will be a banger Compared to the 2021 (125.3 proof) nose isn’t as potent any more, but rich stone fruits, viscous body, caramel, butterscotch and oak, really leaves a nice feeling on the tongue. I think this one has the slight edge.
