I have the Fall 2016. Full bodied with vanilla and nice spice. The nose is stronger than the taste in a pleasant way. Maybe some nut flavors? That’s about the extent of my tasting abilities;-)
Woodford Reserve Distillery Series Double Double Oaked (Winter 2017)
About this bottle
As implied by the name, Woodford Reserve's Double Double Oaked spends even more time in barrel than the Double Oak expression. This entry in the Distillery Series begins with the Double Oaked ageing process, ageing in both new American oak and then finishing in a second heavily toasted, lightly charred new oak barrel. Compared to the main Double Oaked release, this one spends an additional year finishing in the second barrel. Winter 2017 release.

Awesome Oakey notes w a huge Carmel bomb on the nose very smooth with maple syrup taste and then the peppery finish we all love and expect and it lasts grab it if you can fellas
Lots of oak, obviously, but very mellow. Butter and butterscotch. Not a fan of the regular double oaked, but this was a pretty good pour.
I'm a huge fan of this bourbon - I will add tasting notes the next time I try it. This bottle was actually bottled in the Fall of 2016.
Very floral and toasted oak. Not much sweetness to it. I prefer my roasted marshmallows Double Barreled
This is a small, but nice step up from the Double Oaked. Excellent - really quite exceptional.
