This has been growing on me since I first tried it. The sweetness on the corn and complexity on the malt given the low age is impressive. Great nose and lingering finish. If you like this, try Jimmy Red Corn (Highwire) as well.
About this bottle
Woodford Reserve Five Malt was released in June 2016 as part of the brand's Distillery Series, a collection of small batch expressions available for purchase at the distillery in Kentucky. Distilled from a malt mash, hence the name, the whiskey ages with "minimal wood exposure" in recycled "double-oaked barrels" for at least 6 months. It comes in 375ml bottlings, at 45.2% ABV.

I get why many don't enjoy it, but it's pretty good, for a nearly woodless whiskey. The malt and corn flavor really come through, and it's quite sweet with a slight bite. Don't know if I'd buy it, but interesting.
