Woodford Reserve Distillery Series Five Wood Bourbon

The nose is pretty sweet and desert like. There is a vanilla extract scent, milk chocolate and strawberry shortcake. Flavor is complex but yet very balanced. The whiskey is very well put together. It has an elegant side to it for sure and very intriguing due to all the different time in the 4 different casks. Sweet sugar cookies with vanilla icing is the most common flavor I get. I get an assortment of fruit jams on the palate after the initial sweetness. Finish is medium length only but adds a little baking spices like cinnamon and clove which are pretty subtle. Very friendly whiskey.

Very fruity with dried fruit and cherry up front. Lots of the Oloroso sherry flavor with fairly mild oak at the finish. Could drink this all evening.

Excellent whiskey! Sweet grain up front with complex oak in the middle. Ends with caramel and honey. One of my favorites!

Lots of depth to this one. A fantastic drink with all of the dark fruit and bitterness from a coffee. Really good.

I LOVE this bourbon. Add a little water to bring out all of the flavor!

Caramel. Chocolate. Berry. Sherry comes through in the finish.
