Great all around balanced bourbon. Beautiful nose of baking spices like cinnamon and clove, fruits like fresh nectarines and apple, vanilla, banana, pear. Taste of oak, vanilla, brown sugar, little spice on the finish. I just love the balance of this whiskey and is always my go to for an old fashioned.
About this bottle
This limited edition bottling of Woodford Reserve Bourbon commemorates the running of the 145th Kentucky Derby. Like the previous year, it features the artwork of Louisville artist Keith Anderson who, since 2007, has worked at the Bourbon Street Cafe, a private dining room at the Brown-Forman headquarters. This year's release also marks the 20th anniversary for the Derby bottles. Available beginning March 2019.

I got one of these back in March impulsively and so glad I did because they sold out and I never saw again after that. Woodford is one of my favorites and I love the Kentucky Derby so I wanted the bottle!
Spiciness 3/5. Mid range spice neat. Good all around bourbon as always. Stays on pallet long but good flavor. 3.75 neat. Iced is very good. Very smooth with little spice. 4.0 iced.
This barcode is also for Derby 148, which is what I’m tasting. Aroma and taste is slightly floral and fragrant
