An interesting comparison to the sour mash normally used. Personally, I found the sweet mash less complex and less and enjoyable, but definitely worth a try if for no other reason than to see how much of a difference the set back makes to the distilling process
Woodford Reserve Distillery Series Sweet Mash Redux Bourbon
About this bottle
Sweet Mash Redux is one of two initial members of the new Woodford Reserve Distillery Series, available for purchase only at the distillery in 375ml bottles. In 2008, Woodford released Sweet Mash Finish in its Master's Collection, and Sweet Mash Redux harkens back to it. As opposed to Woodford's typical sour mash fermentation process, the spirit here begins non-soured, or "sweet", changing the base of Woodford's bourbon to its core and producing a highly different profile.

Another fantastic creation from Chris Morris! Very easy to drink with complexity that shows up more and more as you drink. If this mash bill was able to mature long. It would be the best product at WR. I really think they are on to something.
This isn't good and would skip it. It lacks depth and flavor. You taste grains and a little bitterness. Very similar in flavor to Woodford Reserve Master Collection Classic Malt.
Definitively a different taste. Not sure I could drink a lot of this one.
Interesting but I felt it was far inferior to Double Oak personally.
My favorite of the Distillery Series.
