This is a total wine single barrel select barrel proof. Barrel 3602 bottle 95, 120.26 proof Uncorking- Nose- took about 20min to really open in the glass. Once it did I am getting a lot of caramel, vanilla, light oak, some rye spice with hints of spearmint, dark berries after Taste- brown sugar, vanilla beans, sawdust, hints of spice, some vegetal flavors, rich. Spikes a little bit on the tongue in a pleasant way. Going back I got more flavors. Earthy, almost morel mushrooms. Almost hints of bacon fat. Going Finish - relatively long, cinnamon, sweetness, dark berries, bitter oak balances the sweetness and spice. Small hints of leather on the finish. Well I get the hype. It's definitely a standout barrel proof. I have a private club barrel pick coming in a few weeks and will go side by side. Tonight I put it against JD BP and EC BP Batch B520 Big hitters. 3 really different drams. The JD is a sweet forward pour with some oak and spice. The ECBP is all leather, wood, char. The Woodinville is almost in between. Sweeter than EC, more depth and darker flavors than JD. Interestingly when I tasted this between the others I liked it more than on its own. Funny how what else you taste influences perception.

Neat. Neck pour. Party Source store pick. First Woodinville experience. Been waiting for a cask strength store pick from a store I trust before diving in. Dense thick nose on this one. Leather, tobacco, and chocolate come to mind first. Lots of clove. Stewed pears in a caramel reduction. A deep bread note, almost a pumpernickel. Getting a slight hint of youngness that could also be coming from the high proof. This nose has good depth, impressed so far. Mouth feel is average. Super dark on the tongue. Leather and a hint of brown sugar. On the taste it blasts me with a nice vanilla but darkens up again quickly. The vanilla transitions to a darker bread then into caramel and then into chocolate. Tobacco comes back on the finish and lingers on the legs. Wow, Woodinville. You are now on my radar. This avoids so many craft stereotypes and really carves out its own taste profile. I wish I knew the age on this. I’ll have to ask. It’s interesting, it’s sweet but then mainly sticks in a dark flavor range, the legs hang out and are very pleasant company. These tobacco notes are really good too. If you are on the fence with this brand, I’d say take the leap!
Nose: Oak and vanilla pleasant scent but nothing overpowering Taste: vanilla, raisin, pretty short finish and i didnt get much complexity Overall: i should preface this by saying i got this bottle for $25 from The Party Source clearance store pick section. So for that price it was a no brainer and i had heard good things about woodinville. For me this was very average. There was no age statement but i thought it tasted young, i will say It was a pretty smooth drink for the high proof but was hoping for some more flavor. This one definitely didnt discourage me from trying other stuff from them but also didnt blow me away.
Mine is a NC Private Select. Nose: Caramel and Vanilla with a bit of oak. Taste: The charred wood (Hickory or mesquite) hits you right in the face. It’s almost overwhelming. Then caramel rolls in. But deciphering other flavors is hard because of how strong the wood flavor is on mine. I get a slight chocolate taste towards the end. The flavors in this one lingers for a while. I just wish that it wasn’t so strong on the wood flavor and allowed for the other notes to come through and shine.
Barrel no 7500, bottle 146, 115.20 proof. Daveco select Some sweet corn and raisin on the nose. Slight grassy note. Mouth feel is different. Slightly sweet with a honey nut up front. Pretty dry, seems like some rye notes coming through with anise and a slight Willett rye note, but not as strong. Medium finish that is nice and dry, oak tannins.
Great Lakes 3595. 60.19% Aroma - sweet sugar candy, oak and vanilla Taste- oak forward followed by vanilla. Abv is definitely present at 60.19%. But after a couple of drops of water (or hitting it with an ice cube)… more spice comes forward but with a touch of butterscotch. 4.25
