Yamazakura Pure Malt 9 Year Old Cask Strength

An elegant, cask strength Japanese Whisky from a small distillery that was closed back in 1998. Some of the liquid bottled here will be up to 20 years old as some whisky from the distillery was stored in alternate containers prior to being finished in bourbon & wine casks. It has an aromatic birth with notes of smoke & caramel; while a rich life adds notes of vanilla & phenols; that led to a slightly bitter death with notes of sherry & spicy oak.
