Nose: rye, spice, almost bourbony. Oak and vanilla. Reminiscent of the Redbreast Lustau. A little fishy? Pickles or gherkins or something. Body: smooth at first and then hints of spice. Palate: vanilla, cinnamon, honey, toffee. Finish: medium-mouth coat, a little spicy, but otherwise very smooth and round. More like a super smooth whisky than a gin—fewer botanicals than expected and no overwhelming juniper note.
About this bottle
This genever is made from a malt-wine produced from a triple-distillation of equal parts corn, rye, and malted barley. Part of it is then distilled a fourth time with botanicals including juniper, licorice and aniseed. These two components are then blended and aged in 200-liter, new American oak barrels for 5 years. These are single-barrel releases and is sold at 38% ABV in Europe, primarily in the Netherlands and Germany.

Absolutely delicious! It's very soft and I drinks like whisky. Maybe, you can call it an whisky replacement.
