About this bottle

Alma del Jaguar makes a 100% agave tequila tequila with the mission to protect wild jaguars through the Northern Jaguar Project in partnership with Master Distiller Sergio Cruz, tequila expert Adam Fodor and the Vivancos, fifth generation tequila family of Arandas (NOM 1414). It is aged for 2 months in American white oak barrels from Tennessee and Kentucky before additional resting for a month in French oak that was previously used for Chardonnay at a winery in Santa Barbara, CA. It is bottled at 80 proof. Additive free and sustainably produced.

A very good, delicate, Agave Spirit by Alma del Jaguar [NOM 1414] in Jalisco (Los Altos Southern), Mexico double-distilled in hand-crafted Mexican copper pot stills, with the final blend consisting of 80% wild yeast & 20% Champagne yeast. It is aged for 2 months in American White Oak & 1 month in French Oak before being bottled unfiltered at 40% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of cooked agave, wood, fruits, flowers, herbs & spices; while a balanced life adds notes of vanilla, platano, caramel & orange zest; that led to a quick & dry death with notes of jalapeño, oak, cinnamon & honey.
