Day No.8 I loved the idea of this whiskey being a big car guy. And it's fitting cause in the Flaviar booklet they go on about imagining yourself in a classic Shelby Gt500. What a coincidence! I'm a huge Ford guy and have owned 3 different mustangs. My current one being a Shelby GT350! I'll now digress since this is about the whiskey. Unfortunately, the sipping experience wasn't as elaborate as the car story. The dram was fairly light overall. Not much to report aside from the subtle notes of vanilla and brown sugar. At times there was a touch of butterscotch. But mostly a corn/grain character in the background. It lacked somewhat in body as well. Wish this had more depth. Still worth trying though. Far from a drain pour.

Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Light amber. Nose: Strong corn notes, with some caramel and vanilla. Palate: Baking spice, clove, some oak tannins. Finish: Short length with medium heat. Splash: Somehow this gets spicier with a few drops of water. Overall: 7/10 - This is about what I expected from the mashbill and proof. It was given to me by a friend who didn’t particularly like it, and honestly I didn’t expect to like it either, but it’s a fine low proof sipper and would make a decent cocktail.

Fredrink 3.3

It's a sweet dram on the nose and palate. There's a roasted corn and butterscotch palate. It's creamy, with a short but pleasant finish of vanilla and caramel with a bit of oak spice.

Advent #8. Clear golden amber body medium legging. Fruit, honey, pepper, corn aroma. Corn, pepper honey flavor. Medium light body heavy warming. 6/4/6/3/12 3.1

An interesting whiskey. For me a hint of chocolate which gives way to a hint of fruits on the backside. A little grainier than my preference.

Bit of spice that turns into butterscotch and caramel.
