About this bottle

Arte NOM is the brainchild of wunderkind Jake Lustig. An American who grew up in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, Lustig has been importing, selling, and writing about agave spirits his entire adult life. He asked his favorite producers of blanco, reposado and añejo tequilas to make special batches just for him to showcase their mastery of these respective styles. Such a project required a change to Mexico's law, which previously required an individual brand to represent the product of one distillery only. This reposado is made in Arandas from estate-grown agave and spends four months in 3rd-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Additive free.

Neat. Pale golden straw color. Very long legs on the glass. Aroma is soft, complex and balanced. Agave, fruit, dusty oak, herbal (anise), citrus, earth, wildflower honey. Taste is true to nose. Heavy agave sweetness and herbal flavors. Soft honey, vanilla, oak, citrus, and pepper. Finish is long lasting. Oily, sweet, spicy A tequila to sip and explore. Pricing is fair for the quality

A delicate, Agave Spirit by [NOM 1414]. It has an aromatic birth with notes of cooked agave, wood, fruits, flowers, herbs & spices; while a balanced life adds notes of vanilla, platano, caramel & orange zest; that led to a quick & dry death with notes of jalapeño, oak, cinnamon & honey. May 2024

nice green olive thing / slightly briny with dried chiles hiding in the background behind asian pear fruit, touches of basil and tarragon. not as lush as the 1579 or as rich as the 1146, but it has amazing delicacy and the oak provides a great little boost to a great fun agave character

For a repo, this has little color and not a whole lot of barrel flavor...what it does have is an insane flavor profile. It's agave up front with some light pepper and green veg., then somehow finishes with this smooth, sake-like flavor. I wish I had another bottle or 12

The best reposado I have had to date. This bottle will be a new staple in my home bar. It will be the only tequila I use for margaritas, and I don't even care if the price tag of my margs goes through the roof, its that good.

Another one of my favorite sipping tequilas. It’s great poolside with a wedge of lime. Nose: vegetal, sweet. Palate: vanilla, allspice. When I want a break from scotch, this is it!
