A medium, Blended Rum from Puerto Rico crafted using a double aging process. Rums aged for at least one year are blended & returned to white oak barrels for an additional three months to develop a smooth taste, with notes of vanilla, caramel & butterscotch for a complex finish. January 2016 / June 2017
About this bottle
Maestro de Ron is a tribute to the master blenders of Bacardí over the generations, beginning when the distillery was located in Cuba. This rum was created by current Master Blender Manuel Jorge Cutillas and other rum "maestros" using a double-aging process: Rums aged at least a year are blended together, then married for an additional 3 months in white oak and filtered for clarity. Note: An illustration on the label depicts a biplane flying over a tropical landscape, as an homage to the Prohibition when Bacardí invited Americans to come drink rum legally in Cuba.

It’s got a hint of tropical fruit and fennel but like Superior it’s still dry and alcohol heavy. For one dollar more though I’d take this over Superior any day. $29 in Ontario.
Astringent paint thinner. No better than regular Bacardi.
Not the best. I guess good for mixed drinks on a budget?
smooth, light, and refreshing great for cocktails
