AnttiRG 2.5

A complex, Blended Irish Whisky by A.D. Rattray in Scotland made with a rich blend of 40% premium Irish Single Malts & 60% Irish grain Whiskies. The blend is aged for 5 years in American oak and bottled at 43% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of exotic spices, orange zest, vanilla & coconut milk; while a rich life adds notes of marmalade, ripe pears, granola crumble, oak & fresh grains; that leads to a bold death of medium length with notes of malt & alcohol. December 2020 / August 2022

Spicy zest aromas are prevalent notes as soon as your nose hits the sniffer, followed by a sweet vanilla and pear aromas at the end. A mixture of sweet alcoholic tones hit your palate on contact follwed by a strong alcohol zing on the back end with sweeter pear-like aftertaste. Smoother than expected for a 5 year old Irish Whiskey.

Based on value for money, this is an enjoyable whiskey. On the nose, has some standard Irish characteristics. The highlight is the first rush of fruit, marmalade and orange zest w mild spice. Finishes a tad drier though that balance makes for something just complex enough to hold your attention.

Has spicy noze, a little bit of orange creamcycle if you let it open up. The palate is not rich, but you for sure get pear and a light sweetness.

Definitely get the pear, oak, and a little bit of spice. Nice sweet nose. A little burn to this one. Not too bad

Flavorful, but a little too harsh.
