Aroma: cherry, plum, a little oak and vanilla Taste: Has a good amount of wine influence with cherry, plum, berries and dark fruits upfront, however, it quickly turns to Flintstone vitamins on the finish. Overall: I feel like they really missed pairing the finish with the whiskey. It has a lot of potential and each sip starts with great flavor and richness but just quickly fades into a very mineral forward finish. It's almost like someone sprinkled in Flintstone vitamins into a glass of prisoner wine

This reminds me of the early Angel’s Envy that was more rich and sweet. This dram definitely picks up the wine notes in a strong fashion. My wife loved it for this reason. I see why the reviews are so polarizing. I do think it is overpriced but is a very good finished bourbon if that is your mood. This is best served as a dessert/after dinner bourbon.
Tasted like chocolate covered cherries with a smidge of tobacco. I personally enjoyed the wine finish which happens to be more notable as it warms up. Enjoyable for after dinner as a dessert drink. Also, much easier to find compared to others which adds value in my opinion
The color is burnt red and the wine finish is obvious. If you’ve had the Prisoner, you can smell it on the nose. Dark fruit, oak, and chocolate hit you. On the palette there is spice, cherry, chocolate, and oak. The finish is the best part, it tastes like wine going down.
Immediately transport yourself to the Rick house when drinking this one. It tastes much older than it is and is a great balance with large flavor and oak char but not overly so. Perfect for dessert pairing. Main notes are oak, leather, and fruit (grapes, rich cherries)
Tasted this at the distiller in a flight. Honestly it was my least favorite of the flight, even comparing it to the fusion. Very average, better/similar tasting things for less than half the price out there. The wine cask finish just didn’t seem to add much for me.
