About this bottle

Independent bottler, Barrell Craft Spirits, has introduced a new line of sourced cask strength, limited edition spirits. Bottling 1 is one of three to launch in November 2018. It is made from a blend of vintage rums aged between 13-21 years sourced from Barbados, Guyana, and Jamaica. It is bottled at a cask strength of 124.2 proof.

This is a wonderfully expressive blend, greater than the sum of its parts. Jamaican funk right away on the nose, effortlessly blends straight into classic Barbados tropical notes of dried pineapple and banana. This is all concluded with a long, comforting finish of sweet baking spices and tobacco from the Guyana sourced rum. A blend of rums 13-21 years old, this is complex and lively, yet cohesive. Texturally, this is very pleasant and rich, coming in at cask strength.

If you want a marriage for rum and bourbon this is the drink for you. Your brain knows it's a rum but it drinks like a bourbon.
