Zafra Master's Series 30 Year (2016)

Bias alert: This is my all time favorite rum. Nose is inviting with nutty toffee and spice notes including cinnamon, cloves and allspice. Initilal taste is amazingly warm and smooth with nutty and spice notes. It continues the nose flavors with added complexity and depth. The round and complex flavors are still sweet and buttery. Thick, luscious mouthfeel without being overly syrupy. The finish continues the sweet and spicy with some heat. The fibish is clean and yet lingering. It leaves a wonderful flavor. Ive not experienced a better finish in a rum. This is simply a wonderful treat.

Absolute nectar of the gods. I will spend the rest of my life in pursuit of more bottles of this. Honey, sherry, brown sugar. Like eating the best waffles and syrup youve ever had in your life.

Superb, my biggest purchase for a rum, it is absolutely amazing. Smooth doesn’t even begin to describe the palate. Bitter wood, honey, and vanilla. A bit of caramel.

Might’ve been the best liquor I’ve ever had.
